Horizontal BTB Elbow Pass
A good recovery move.
Learned this one from Bluecat. The staff is held in the elbows horizontally in front of you. One elbow takes it and keeping it as horizontal as possible places it on the back and releases it, the staff does a half spin on the back, while the other arm gets ready to catch it in the elbow. This done the move starts again. Obviously can be done in both directions. Plus you can just transfer the staff on the back without the spin, this is easy, but not flowing. But there are interesting things you can do with a staff on your back bewteen your elbows....
Not a tip so much as: Keep it horizontal! Plus make sure you catch in the elbow, otherwise bad habits will form. Perfect practise makes perfect.
